HT Group has been commissioned with the refurbishment project at the National Veterinary Research Institute (PIWET) in Puławy, Poland.

The institute's primary mission is applied veterinary research with a special focus on diagnosing and controlling infectious animal diseases—including zoonoses—as well as on the hygiene and toxicology of food of animal origin and animal feed.

HT Group's contract includes the refurbishment of the BSL-3 laboratory, including the complete installation of a new HVAC system. The containment renovation is being implemented using a modular construction approach and is designed to meet the stringent leak tightness requirements of VDI 2083-19, Class 4.

A key component of the HVAC system is the fully welded HEPA filter housings with automatic scanning in accordance with ISO 14644-3, Annex B.7, developed and manufactured by HT.

In addition, the large animal facility (A-BSL-3) is also being refurbished by HT Group, with a complete renewal of the HVAC system. The large animal holding areas will be fully equipped with gas-tight doors, hygiene showers, and specialized dunk tanks. Naturally, the fully welded HEPA filter housings from HT are also used in this system.

The refurbishment is scheduled for completion by summer, allowing research operations at the institute to resume soon thereafter.
