Filter and ventilation equipment
All components in the ventilation area are designed to meet the safety requirements. A particular emphasis is placed on gas-tight dampers in feed and exhaust air connections to prevent uncontrolled circulation of air. In laboratories at safety levels BSL-3 and BSL-4 the pressurisation of various pressure levels in laboratory rooms and sluices is one of the most important points which is provided by the control of individual feed and exhaust air flows. Through these pressure levels air can only flow in a predefi ned direction, something which is an absolute necessity for the achievement of high safety levels. Every air flow is protected from particle and germ circulation by high-performance filters. Exhaust air is cleaned before escaping with the aid of H14 HEPA filters.
