Prefabricated building solutions – Hospital Rotthalmünster, Germany

According to a concept by plus-3 architekten, a new extension was built for a new nursing station - due to the increased number of patients, a new bed wing was urgently needed, which was realized by raising the building by a new floor.

In a construction period of 6 months (April 2022 - October 2022), HT Group realized here both the addition of a new floor and the prefabricated building envelope with the connection to the existing buildings, as well as carried out the entire interior construction of the patient rooms and patient bathrooms.

The building envelope was built on top of the existing building using a modular construction method with prefabricated wooden elements and a rear-ventilated aluminum façade and connected to both the existing buildings. 

Inside, 16 patient and isolation rooms with patient bathrooms, corridors, technical rooms and an intensive care area were built. The new ward impresses with a harmonious color concept with discreet but large-scale wall motifs. The intensive care area was equipped with the HT Cover healing light system and a special hygienic acoustic ceiling was installed to improve room acoustics.
