In the year 1833 the University of Zurich was founded as the first university in Europe of a democratic state. With 28,000 students, the University of Zurich (UZH) is the largest university in Switzerland. One of in total seven different faculties is the faculty of Medicine, which includes institutes for basic medical subjects and clinic business.
