The Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdansk and the Medical University of Gdansk (IFB UG & MUG) combines biomedical and biomolecular issues and their application in biotechnology to improve health and quality of life.

The Faculty has state-of-the-art laboratories for molecular research with specialized apparatus, as well as an animal house and phytotron complex. At present, two laboratories at IFB UG and MUG worked in the enhanced BSL-2 security system.

HT Group manufactured a new laboratory for IFB UG & MUG according to BSL-3 requirements with the following special features, which will be put into operation in summer 2022.
