University Clinic Ulm, Germany
The new laboratory complies with the second-highest safety level (BSL-3). On the first floor, the building offers a total of six workstations on approx. 100 m² of laboratory space. The technical facilities are housed on the upper floor. HT Lab Tec GmbH, a company of the HT Group, was the general contractor for the construction of the building, so that everything came from a single source.
The building envelope consists of concrete modules, which are erected in prefabricated components. The laboratory containment forms a gas-tight modular room system that meets the tightness requirements of VDI 2083-19, class 4 (BSL-3 laboratories). A ventilation system ensures negative pressure during operation and the exhaust air is filtered by a fully welded high-performance filter system from the HT Group.
