VHS Seminar 2026

The seminar series on H₂O₂ fumigation of safety cabinets, filters, laboratories, and cleanrooms was continued in April 2026 at the HT Group in Heideck. The seminar was organized by VHP Engineering, represented by Mr. Gerhard Lauth, in cooperation with TÜV Süd, represented by Mr. Walter Ritz. The two-day event once again provided a practical platform for professional exchange on the decontamination of BSL-3/4 laboratories and cleanrooms, with a focus on hydrogen peroxide.

The HT Group was also represented with an in-depth technical presentation. Dipl.-Ing. Claus Schweinheim, CTO of HT Lab Tec GmbH, presented solutions for material airlocks with integrated VHP generators in BSL-3 environments. The focus was on the design and construction of such systems, their installation, as well as cycle development and validation.

In addition to the theoretical content, the seminar stood out for its strong practical component. Participants gained insights into functional tests on BIBO filter housings, leakage tests for laboratory rooms in accordance with VDI 2083-19, as well as the decontamination of HEPA filter housings and material airlocks using a VHP generator.

The combination of theory and practical application enabled direct transfer into real-world practice and encouraged lively exchange among all participants.

The seminar once again provided a valuable opportunity to deepen current know-how and engage with experts from the industry. The high relevance of the topic was also evident in 2026 through the strong participation and technically in-depth discussions among attendees. The event is already planned to be held again at the HT Group in Heideck in 2027.
