VHP® SEMINAR IN HAMBURG
For the second time this year, Steris® in cooperation with TÜV-Süd organized the successful seminar series on H2O2 decontamination of biosafety cabinets, filter housings, rooms and material transfer sluices using the VHP© process, this time in Hamburg.
With almost 50 participants, the demand for decontamination continued to be very high. Among the relevant experts, the HT Group was also represented with a highly acclaimed presentation. Dipl.-Ing. Claus Schweinheim, managing director of HT Lab Tec GmbH, a company of the HT Group, spoke about the realization of BSL-3/4 laboratories and the validation of material transfer boxes.
After Claus Schweinheim informed about the national and international normative background of BSL-3/4 laboratories, he was then able to explain details of the construction of a complete containment and various lock systems for people and material based on successfully completed projects. Another aspect was the relationship between a dynamic and a static containment and the different international tightness requirements for BSL-3/4 laboratories.
The focus of this year's lecture was the presentation of a successful cycle development and subsequent validation of a material lock with integrated VHP© generator. At the end, the process of certification of products and systems by TÜV Süd was presented.
During the two-day seminar, a very intensive discussion could be held with the many trade visitors in order to further deepen the presented content.
