Event in review

After a one-year break due to Corona, Steris®, in cooperation with TÜV SÜD, again organized the successful series of seminars on H2O2 decontamination of safety cabinets, filters, rooms and transfer systems with the VHP© process in Hamburg this year.

With almost 60 participants, the demand for decontamination topic was very high again this year. The HT Group was also among the relevant experts with a well-received specialist presentation. Claus Schweinheim, managing director of the HT Lab Tec GmbH a member of HT Group, spoke about the realization of BSL-3 laboratories and the validation of material locks.

In the beginning he presented the normative background to BSL-3 laboratories, in order to then give details of the construction of a complete containment and various lock systems for people and material on the basis of projects. Another content of his presentation was the relation between a dynamic and a static containment and the various international tightness requirements for BSL-3 laboratories.

The focus of this year's lecture was the presentation of a successful cycle development and subsequent validation of a material lock with an integrated VHP© generator. At the end, the process of certification by TÜV SÜD was presented.

A very intensive discussion could be held with the many visitors during the two-day seminar in order to further deepen the reported content.
