Successful fire test at ift Rosenheim

HT Group has successfully tested a gas-tight fire protection door system for national and international projects.

At the ift Rosenheim Technology Center for Fire Protection, we once again successfully carried out a demanding fire test. The focus was on two gas-tight door systems developed for a current project in Singapore, which had to demonstrate their performance under realistic conditions.
 

Realistic test conditions:

The door system was tested under the same conditions as in its later application – within our BSL-4 containment system and installed in an aerated concrete wall.
 

Our goal: EI60 classification achieved

The objective of the test was classification as EI60 in accordance with EN 1634-1 in conjunction with EN 1363-1. This confirms that, in the event of a fire, the doors maintain both their integrity (E) and thermal insulation (I) for at least 60 minutes. This prevents fire and high temperatures from spreading to adjacent areas. The door systems therefore make a significant contribution to limiting the spread of fire and ensuring structural fire protection.

Fire tests of this kind for hospital and research facilities are an essential part of our product development and quality assurance. They provide valuable insights into the behavior of our systems under extreme conditions and serve as reliable proof of:

  • high safety standards
  • tested and certified product quality
  • reliable performance in operation

Especially for international projects with high requirements – as in this case for a project in Singapore – such verification is indispensable.
