7. Conference on Biosafety and Laboratory

Thank you for your participation in the 7th Conference on Biosafety and Laboratory Technology in Ulm - whether as a speaker, participant or partner. We at HT Group, as conference partners, hope that you were able to take new information and new opportunities. Our focus was on the completion of the new BSL-3 building at the university - the common goal was to show how a building can be constructed as a safety laboratory in just one year in close cooperation with clients, planners and researchers.

The more than 160 international participants were able to view a fully functional BSL-3 laboratory with all the construction details.

The new research building offers a total of six workstations on the first floor with approx. 100 m² of laboratory space. The technical systems, including the filter technology, are installed on the upper floor. The building envelope consists of concrete modules that were erected as prefabricated modules. The laboratory containment forms a gas-tight modular room system that meets the tightness requirements of VDI 2083-19, class 4 (BSL-3 laboratories). A ventilation system and the control technology ensure a controlled negative pressure during operation and the exhaust air is filtered by fully welded and certified high-performance filter systems.
